California Prop 65: Hydrogen Cyanide, Cyanide Salts Listed as Known to Cause Reproductive Toxicity

The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) has added to the list of chemicals known to the State to cause reproductive toxicity, in accordance with Proposition 65 (effective July 5th, 2013).

This listing is based on the formal identification by US Environmental Protection Agency (US/EPA) that hydrogen cyanide and cyanide salts are known to cause reproductive toxicity (male reproductive endpoint). The March 22, 2013 Notice of Intent to List, issued by the California Regulatory Notice Register, supports OEHHA's determination that the administrative listing criteria had been satisfied in regards to hydrogen cyanide and cyanide salts.
